Description:

Weaver ants tending to treehoppers (likely to be Oxyrachis tarandus). The ants protect the hoppers while the hoppers produce nectar-like substance for the ants. The hopper on the far right is the adult while the rest are juveniles.

Habitat:

On the Simpoh Air (Dillenia suffruticosa) shrub.
