This looks like a VERY old Leptospermum! ID confirmation or suggestion is appreciated. White flowers grow along branches in between rounded leaves.

Habitat:

At a small park right on the coastline in La Jolla.

I think it must be VERY old, Cindy. And quite healthy. Another place to see them this big is at the Presidio over Mission Valley. I have a friend who inherited a house with several of these on the property and they're old, but not so full because I don't think they got much care for the last 50 years.
