Poncirus trifoliate

Description:

Very thorny tree with dark green, glossy compound leaves. Fragrant, star shaped flowers, followed by downy, golfball sized round fruit that turns orange as it matures. The fruit is full of seeds.

Habitat:

Garden setting. This variety is cold hardy in north Texas once established.

Notes:

Used as rootstock for citrus.
