Jacob, the great thing about digital photography is you can take loads of shots & keep the best & discard the rest! I grew up with 35mm film cameras - I didn't take photos of bugs then but if I had I would have had to take just one or 2 shots & hope for the best because film & processing were expensive. Plus I would have had to wait for days to get my prints back before I knew if any had worked out!

Interesting! I know all to well of trial and error! I sometimes take twenty minutes focusing on one subject!

Thanks Jacob! I have a clip on macro converter but really a lot is down to trial & error! I will often take 20 or more shots of the same subject (if it hangs around long enough!) Sometimes they all turn out well, but more usually there will be 4 or 5 decent photos & sometimes only one in perfect focus!
