Vernal Hanging Parrot

Loriculus vernalis

Description:

I am so excited about this spotting as I have seen this bird go through the garden many times, occasionally landing, but it is so timid and fast that I've never managed to get an image. This one is'nt brilliant either unfortunately. The bird is a vivid green colour, has a red beak which is hooked, red legs and red feathers on it's back, white circles around it's eyes and a squeaky call.
