Water Strider

Description:

A pair/couple of pond skaters mating on water. They are 15 - 20 mm in length. The male (on top) does not have wings, this may show that the males of this species are wingless of just that this male is still a little too young. This species are one of the most common Gerridae species in Sabah.

Habitat:

The edge of the lake in Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), Sandakan, Sabah.
