Looks similar to Iberian Water Frog but has no yellow line on back from nose to tail.
Of course frogs have tails when they are young tadpoles but they drop them at the final stage of changing to a frog and just leave a stump.

Malcolm, the Collins Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians of Europe says that the Iberian Water Frog "often has a light stripe on the back", which indicates that the stripe is not always there.
