Gray Catbird

Dumetella carolinensis

Description:

This gray catbird is not uncommon to see, but it's tough to get a decent photograph. Related to the mockingbird, it can mimic sounds. While the mockingbird prefers to make calls from a prominent perch, the gray catbird likes to issue it's calls from within bushes and dense shrubbery.

Habitat:

Suburban trees and bushes.
