Red-Shouldered Hawk

Buteo lineatus

Description:

A small hawk with reddish, orange under wings, and a red belly, it's wings are black and white, and it has a black and yellow bill.

Habitat:

On a wooden post, in an open field, next to many houses.

Notes:

There were several rabbit, or squirrel holes in the ground nearby. So it was probably there because it had much to eat.
