Congratulations Ori, your Oriental Skullcap is our Spotting of the Day:

"These elegant yellow hooded flowers belong to an Oriental Skullcap (Scutellaria orientalis), our Spotting of the Day! Scutellaria is a very widely distributed genus of herbs in the mint family (Lamiaceae), counting over 300 species worldwide. Plants in this genus are commonly known as skullcaps due the resemblance of their flowers to miniature medieval helmets. Many skullcaps species have long been used as herbal remedies, and compounds responsible for their biological activity are still extensively studied".
