Split gill fungus

Schizophyllum

Description:

Shelf type fungus (with no stipe). The top is irregular and white with a very jagged edge. Underneath are distinct paired gills in a shade of cream.

Habitat:

Open woodland on a dead suspended branch.

Yes Argybee but I didn't know what they were when I spotted them. I get nervous to try any mushrooms now anyway... although the oyster ones look tempting. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/102...
