Plains zebra

equus quagga

Description:

It is one of the most common kind of zebra, you can tell it is an equus quagga because it has soft brown lines between the black and white stripes. The one in the picture was born at the reserve where it is at, "Parque Lecocq" in Montevideo, and it seemed to be pregnant. They seem to be well adapted to Uruguay's climate and the open and natural reserve they are in.
