Ring-billed Gull

Larus delawarensis

Notes:

I witnessed a behavior I hadn't seen before. One gull had found this plastic bag with crackers in it, and another stood nearby and started calling, head down and lifting it up. It didn't try to get the crackers from the other, it was calling another slightly larger gull (the one with the ruffled coverts). From the way the other gulls responded, it was highest in the pecking order.
