Males, brilliant yellow with black patch on forehead and wings that are also marked with white.

Habitat:

Weedy fields, backyards and orchards or roadsides.

Notes:

Every year, late winter and spring, these incredibly bright and beautiful finches visit our backyard feeder. They are an incredible site as they fly about from the trees to the porch and around the yard.
