Description:

Anasa tristis of the family Coreidae is a major pest of squash and pumpkins, and is a vector of the cucurbit yellow vine disease (CYVD) bacterium. These bugs can emit an unpleasant odor when disturbed. (information from Wikipedia)

Notes:

This insect is formally known as "orange-tipped leaf-footed bug." These bugs and eggs were spotted on dark green zucchini squash.
