Description:

A robust drone fly with enormous yellow eyes with minute red flecks. The thorax had black stripes and the abdomen showed black bands.

Suburban garden

Notes:

Family: Syrphidae A genus of hoverflies known for patterns in their eyes that are either spots or bands !
