Description:

Yellow-brown mottled eggs from this ground-nesting plover (near the center of this picture in the bottom-most patch of shade)

Habitat:

Shorelines; also found inland on fields, meadows, and other open spaces (Cornell Lab of Ornithology)

Notes:

This particular nest was found in a neighborhood playground, and camouflaged (dangerously) well with the surrounding pine mulch
