Description:

Perennual with dark green, heavily veined leaves. Deep blue-purple flowers on a 6in. spike.

Notes:

Mystic Spires is an more compact, irradiation induced sport of Indigo Spires. Indigo Spires is a chance hybrid seedling of S. farinacea and S. longispicata, found at the Huntington Botanic Gardens in the 1970s.
