Description:

The adult moth is a muted yellow or orange with some black spotting on the wings.The caterpillar is a brownish-red with black ends (shown).

Habitat:

This moth is widely spread across the northern hemisphere. I found this one, along with many others, crossing a field road in a wetland area.
