Oecanthus latipennis
Typical slender profile of a tree cricket. Light yellowish-green coloration with red on the head and lower part of antennae and reddish on the "knees" of the hind pair of legs. Dark green band centrally on thorax. Males of this species have wings that appear more than 3 times wider at the end (distally) than the end of the abdomen (distal). This gives this species its name.(Bugguide.net) According to BugGuide, this is the largest species of tree cricket found in the United States and Canada.
