Purple Swamphen

Description:

chicken-sized bird, with its huge feet, bright plumage and red bill and frontal shield is easily-recognisable in its native range, 13 or more subspecies

Habitat:

lake edge vegetation

Notes:

I spotted this walking around the edge of Crocodile lake in the middle of Cat Tien National Park. Pretty sure about the ID but could be wrong, was provided by a local birder at the park.
