Macropus fuliginosus
My friend wanted me to share this with you all. This is a western grey kangaroo in a residential area of Adelaide. The western grey kangaroo is one of the largest macropods in Australia. They can be difficult to distinguish from the eastern grey kangaroo, and I'm only really certain because the eastern grey's range doesn't extent into Adelaide. Distinguishing markings include a darker face, black patches around the elbows, and size. This is notable as kangaroos have been showing up more in residential areas due to the COVID virus.
Native to all of Southern Australia up into parts of Queensland.
