Long-eared Owl

Asio otus

Description:

Long eared owl sitting in it's favorite acacia (as many pellets under the tree can proof, see last picture)

Habitat:

Wadi in Wadi Lathi, the shallow part of South Sinai. (But I saw the same species also in Sinai's High Mountain range, around 1.800m ...)

Notes:

The Bedouin name call it mainly 'buma' (which refers to any owl), or 'umm qwayq' (meaning The Screeching One) for this species.
