European Honey Bee

Description:

Brown with banded pale yellow and brown abdomen. The head and thorax are densely covered in hair. The European or Western Honey Bee tends to be 1.3cm to 1.6cm in size.

Photographed in the Tolga Scrub, one of the last remaining areas of Mabi Rainforest on the Atherton Tableland.
