Rhagadolyra magnicornis

Description:

gravid female - very large abdomen - very sheer - bright light orange,pale orange in colour with clean wings. There are the pale white strips on thorax and on eyes.

Habitat:

Found walking slowly on the ground , loose soil an clay in a dense eucalypt regrowth forest

gravid - that was my new word of the morning today ....i presumed when i read it on Tas Insects it was holding eggs/pregnant ....as she had a big Belly :)

Many gravid ones at the moment. Handy - they don't run away easily. :)
