Streptopelia decaocto
As its Spanish name implies these birds originated in Turkey, having been introduced there from India centuries ago and are relatively recent arrivals in Western Europe. They suddenly started to spread from Turkey in 1928 and they arrived in UK in 1952, although they did not arrive in Spain until much later, the first breeding records being in the late 1970's in Cataluña.
Rural park.
