Canada Goose gosling

Branta canadensis

Description:

The clutch size of Canada Geese is 2-8 eggs, according to "All About Birds," Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Since this gosling was the "Lone Ranger," it is reasonable to speculate that one or more of its siblings was lost to predation.

Habitat:

Huntley Meadows Park, a 1,425 acre wetland area in Fairfax County, Virginia USA. Related Resource: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntl...
