Jewel Beetle

Astraeus sp.

A small jewel beetle with several yellow spots. These beetles seem to flick away to escape, as leaf-hoppers and flea beetles do. Most other jewel beetles drop when they feel threatened.

Found on Casuarina in Brisbane by Trevor.
