Description:

This yellow flower crab was hiding on the underside of a dandelion while I took pictures of a small bee on top of the flower. Just as I was about to walk away, the spider hopped on top of the flower and narrowly missed the bee. I love the way these spiders blend with their flowers.

Great. Thanks RB5. Finding out good stuff all the time. You look like some kind of moth in your pic :) ...I guess it gets cold there.

Yes they change color to white, depending on their surroundings although it takes time to either lose the yellow pigmentation or build it up. They do maintain their characteristic red and green stripes, (not seen in this picture).
