Iberian Emerald Lizard,Lagarto-de-água

Lacerta schreiberi

Description:

this guy,was cached by my cat Picasso and then my other cat Patinhas began a figth with Picasso, what drove my wife attencion, she save the lizzard and put it in a plastic box to take a few pictures for my noah page:) and then she gone to the weet meadow and released him in the other side of the little river streem far from the cats in a safe and good place for him,he must have for some reason moved far from the water, and moved near my house.I never saw this species arround here,it's common in other weet places ,but in this area is the first time,i began to feel that the weet meadow is a little paradise between the infernal growing city http://www.google.pt/url?sa=t&rct=j&...

thanks Ashley,it is a full time job,to take care of a "army" :-) of ten cats, luckly we are allways at home and animal life adapt to the cats too, they dont show up near many times,we tried allways to minimize the impact, but it's a problem that we have allways present

Thanks Emma, picasso when he recovered from the figth with Patinhas(my wife separet them) began to look arround like a mad cat, sniffing every corner.During the year we save many creatures from the cats claws, they substitut the ancien wild cat that was abundant arround here, but awever they are a hught army,so we make all we can to minimaze the impact, lukely they rarely adventure them selfs in the weet meadow, there they coul have same impact, near the houses the animals are used to have cats arround

thanks Argy,by the way we have been in a very strange weather, the temperature incresead for 28cº and the humidity very higth, but without rain, every body is with head pains,it's a tropical weather, but the meadow from where he came,is very weet and the river streem is plenty of water,so is not in search of humidity that he came.maybe he came searching for food.
