White-dotted Brown Leafhopper

Rhotidus teleformis

Description:

A relatively long hopper with a broad rostrum and covered with a pattern of white spots on a reddish brown background. About 15mm long.

Habitat:

Outer urban back yard surrounded by eucalyptus forests.

Notes:

Very alert continually moving to the other side of the stem. Found in south eastern parts of Australia including Tasmania. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...
