Description:

Very common small owl of the Rio Grande Valley. This fledgling appears to be a grey morph.

Habitat:

Woodlots and scrub brush.

Notes:

Fell out of nest. Being nurtured by middle school teacher and her students. Will be able to fly, but at the moment entertaining students by eating crickets.
