Fusinus undatus
Also known as Wavy Spindle and Wavy Edged Spindle; and also referred to as Murex undatus. These sea snails are long and spindly with high spired shells. They feed on worms and other shelled mollusks, and grow to a length of about 15cm.
Found on coral and rocky reefs, in sand and rubble areas under rocks in intertidal, shallow waters (2 to 20m). Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
Spotted a couple of these during a night dive at Isla Reta Beach Resort, Talikud Island. Both were in shallow water, not more than 10m deep.
