Ice Plant

Carpobrotus edulis

Description:

A beautiful succulent with yellow flowers and foliage that was turning red during the fall. Unfortunately, it is an extremely invasive plant. You can see in the last photo how much it has really taken over the area. All the green and red you see in that photo is pretty much this plant.

Habitat:

On the cliffs at Schoolhouse Beach overlooking Bodega Bay.
