(Mating) Desert Firetail

Description:

Two damselflies were mating. The male is all red with bright, red eyes. The female is orange. Both have clear wings other than a couple sections of the top of the wing. The video shows them mating and the female dipping her abdomen in the pond. They relocate a couple times. The last image is just of the male to show the detail of the damselfly.

Habitat:

Pond at a local nursery. These have been reported in California, Texas and Arizona according to BugGuide.
