Red Leaf Beetles

Description:

A pair of Lilioceris leaf beetle, mating while hanging under a tendril. The male is the one on the back (right), the female is the larger one on the left. If you look closely, the male seems to be enjoying himself with his hands raised up. The female is quitely eating on the young tendril. Possibly a Lilioceris subcostata

Habitat:

Bushes in Uncle Tan Bed&Breakfast, Sepilok road, Sandakan, Sabah.
