Lycopodium serratum Thunb. var. longipetiolatum Spring

Description:

A kind of short fern, less than 20 cm, and has serrated leaves. Monangium grows at intrafoliaceous.

Habitat:

It live around 1500m latitude. The place need to be moist enough. Most of the times, it grows on rocks or fallen woods.

Notes:

This fern is not common in Taiwan now. One reason may due to its high quality habitat. Another is that it is a kind of Chinese traditional medicine material. Therefore it is under high collecting pressure.
