Description:

About 25mm long. Hiding deep in a Goodenia plant on a rainy day. It's got a monocle. The two small black spots are distinctive.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve. Glenfern Valley.

Notes:

Large for an Oecophoridae? Also called Fruit Stem Borer, Pecan Stem Girdler, Cherry borer. A Xyloryctine moth this one is particularly common around Melbourne.
