Female of the Amazon's 2nd largest kingfisher.

Habitat:

Fairly common along the rivers, streams, and flooded rainforests of Loreto (found throughout Central and South America). This one was in the flooded rainforest of Tamshiyacu Reserve, Loreto, Peru.
