A medium-sized coyote that is typically darker than other coyotes and is found along the coast of Washington and Oregon.

Spotted at Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge along the Oregon coast

I had a tame coyote for years and it looked just like a big wolf with its winter coat. Really intelligent creatures. The epitome of survivalist. No matter what is brought against them, they survive. Thanks for sharing such a nice series Brian.
