Mycena Mushroom

Mycena sp.

Description:

Small, brown, easily overlooked mushroom. The cap was small, conical, and was olive brown in color with plain tan in the center. The margin was striate. The gills were white with short gills present. Stem was thin and olive-brown with white mycelium at the base.

Habitat:

Growing on rotting wood in a mixed forest with lots of oak.
