Red-billed Gull

Larus novaehollandiae

Description:

A red-billed gull, the most common sea gull around the New Zealand coast. This one has black markings around one eye. I'm not sure whether it is from a lack of feathers / disease / genetics or just a dirty eye. I thought it was mildly interesting.
