Black-faced Canary

Crithagra capistratus

Description:

Predominantly yellow seed-eater/finch in appearance. Male has a black mask with pale bill and brightly yellow underparts; wing olive-green upper parts. Female predominantly yellow, no mask, and streaked in olive green.

Habitat:

Endemic to Western part of Central Africa, and likes a tall-grass savannah at forest edges. Here, observed regularly in a such environment, only in urban setting of Kinshasa, on Congo river banks.

Notes:

I think I have some problems with search function - but it seems it is the first record of this species on NOAH?
