Hibiscus syriacus
Hibiscus spotted along the Nishiki River, in Iwakuni, Japan. Though it looks dramatically different than the other one I posted, I believe it is a cultivar of the same species Hibiscus syriacus 'Ardens', this being a double-flowered variety.
