Ladybug or ladybird beetle

Coccinella magnifica

Description:

Small, red-colored beetle with black spots.

Habitat:

In a plant container on a roof garden.

Notes:

I had seem some aphids in the planter next to this one. I'm hoping this little ladybug will provide some natural defense!

I agree with misako, why do you think is magnifica, what I know about it, that one should look like a regular ladybird with bigger points, Lat. magnus means big
