Lanceleaf Trillium

Trillium lancifolium

Description:

Lanceleaf Trillium is a small trillium with a sessile maroon blossom.

Habitat:

It is found only in six southeastern state – TN, MS, AL, GA, SC, and FL, and is endangered in Florida and Tennessee. This one was spotted at the Stevens Creek Heritage Preserve near Clarks Hill (McCormick County), SC.

Notes:

It is also called Lanceleaf Wakerobin.
