She is a fantastic looking Eurasian Eagle-Owl found in Jurong Bird Park, Singapore. Also, one of the largest species of owls. NAME DERIVATION: The scientific name comes from the Latin word bubo, which refers to an owl. The common name refers to this bird’s geographical range and its large size. Eurasian Eagle-Owls have also been called a Common, Great, or Northern Eagle-Owl.
Eurasian Eagle-Owls favor rocky outcrops and cliffs in a variety of wooded habitats throughout much of Europe and Asia.
