Peucetia viridans
This spider had a leg span of about 38 mm (1.5 in). This species occurs in the southern United States, some parts of Northern California, Central America, the West Indies, and Venezuela
I found this spider in the yard, on a blueberry plant. The species is primarily of interest to humans for its usefulness in agricultural pest management, for example in cotton fields. The spiders have been observed to hunt several moth species and their larvae, including some of the most important crop pests.
