Spotting

Description:

Tiny white butterfly with black and orange spots on the outside wings. The inside is gray/blue. This one had a broken wing as seen in the second image that shows what the edge of the inside looks like.

Habitat:

Buckwheat flower along trail in fire recovery area.

I can't tell which one either. Great photo, though.

I agree Bernadette. So many are very similar. I can't determine if this is Euphilotes or Plebejus genus.

Looks similar to the Grass Jewel we see here in Egypt. Perhaps it is in the Blues family as well? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycaenidae
