Description:

Bright orange flowers with stems about 2 feet tall. This plant does not have a milky juice like other milkweeds. It flowers June through September.

Habitat:

Spotted near Tamarac Visitor Center. Grows in dry open soil, roadsides and fields.

Notes:

Milkweed family.Brightly colored flowers attract butterflies.
